A STUDY ON THORIUM WITH ITS OTHER CHEMICAL LIGANDS

Thorium is more abundant than uranium and must be used as a fuel associated with a fissile substance like reprocessed plutonium because it is ripe rather than fissile. Thorium powers can raise fissile uranium-233 to be used in different types of atomic reactors. Molten salt reactors are appropriate for thorium fuel because typical fuel creation is avoided. It has long been a tempting idea to use thorium as an additional important energy source. A significant R&D effort will be needed to effectively separate its inert energy value. With modest backing from the US, China is the country that is doing this the most.
