POLAROGRAPHIC STUDY OF MIXED-LIGAND COMPLEXES OF Pb(II) WITH o-NITRO BENZOYL GLYCINE [Bz (2-NO2)-Gly-OH] AND SUCCINATE IONS USING NaNO3 AS SUPPORTING ELECTROLYTE
Complex formation tendencies of Pb(II) with [Bz (2-NO2)-Gly-OH], also known as o-Nitro Benzoyl Glycine, and Succinte ions have been studied Polarographically and the stability constants were calculated. The analytical studies of subsequent formation of simple and mixed complexes show that [Pb(Succ)2(o-NBG)]3- and [Pb(Succ)(o-NBG)]2- are strongly favored over the simple complexes. Further the complex species [Pb(Succ)(o-NBG)]2- is more stable than the species [Pb(Succ)2(o-NBG)J3-.
