SECURING DATA COMMUNICATION USING BLOCKCHAIN

In the digital era, data has become so important. So has the responsibility to protect it from unauthorized access. Digital data certified by a reputable organization are valuable digital data that can be stored or shared on the internet. However, the problems of ensuring the anonymity of organizations on issued certificates, verifying the reliability of shared data while still ensuring the confidentiality of its content still exist. This paper presents the methods to ensure the security of data while storing and sharing. In the data-producing schema, an organization in the group generates valuable digital data from raw data sent from a data owner and then issues a certificate on the ciphertext of this digital data. In the data storing schema, the data owner uploads his/her data to the public Inter Planetary File System network and then stores the access address of the stored data and the corresponding certificate on the blockchain ledger. In the data sharing schema, everyone on the system could verify the reliability of shared data before sending a data sharing request to the data owner. The schemas of data storing and sharing and sharing guarantee security properties including confidentiality, integrity, privacy, and anonymity.

A SYSTEMATIC REVIEW OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE TECHNIQUES IN LUNG CANCER DETECTION AND ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS

Lung cancer, which has the greatest fatality rate of any cancer kind, is the most serious form of the disease. Many lives may be saved by early detection. Along with breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men, lung cancer is the second most frequent kind of cancer. According to the International Association of Cancer Society’s (IACS) projections, there will be approximately: •131,880 lung cancer fatalities (119,100 in men and 116,660 in women) •235,760 new cases of lung cancer (69,410 in men and 62,470 in women). Due to its tiny size and placement of the glands, lung cancer is asymptomatic in its early stages on a CT scan. Symptoms only arise when the illness is at a more advanced stage. Early detection techniques like computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are common medical practices that increase patient survival. Prior intelligent techniques relied on manually created feature extraction techniques like Sequential Flood Feature Selection Algorithms (SFFSA) or Genetic Algorithms (GA), which may assist in producing the best possible features. Deep learning technology has recently been applied in CAD systems to automatically extract picture characteristics, and several medical image processing tools have proven successful as a result.

FOOD ACCESSIBILITY OF THE RESIDENTS OF SITIO SAN ROQUE DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC

The impact of the COVID-19 virus extends beyond the threat to physical health and basic human needs. Challenges to achieving food security arise as quarantine protocols imposed to combat the spread of the virus affect employment and mobility, exponentially affecting the urban poor. This paper explored the effects of implementing quarantine protocols due to COVID-19 on the food accessibility of the residents of one of the largest informal settlements, Sitio San Roque, utilizing a descriptive qualitative design. The study dissected the respondents’ situations on varying parameters of food accessibility such as Transportation, Proximity, and Price, where the government response to the resident’s needs was also investigated. The data gathered from the residents of SSR revealed that most residents’ food accessibility was affected by different parameters. They struggled mostly with economic access as most of the population worked in the informal sector, which was drastically suspended. Increasing prices of food commodities also hindered their economic food access, which led them to claim they had a more difficult time as even residents with continuous frontline jobs underwent a difficult time. Contrary to what has been assumed, since the community had long existed, established community markets enabled the residents to access food physically easily. Nevertheless, the findings clearly showed that even though the marginalized can strive to adapt to make ends meet, there is a significant improvement to guarantee the food accessibility of the urban poor.
